If you’re like me, you’ve spent most of your young life writing songs off and on, knowing that they’re great, definitely meaningful, and dreaming about really launching a music career one day and believing that you would.
And so after awhile you’ve got a bunch of songs and you get up on stage and play them. And from listening to your songs, you expect people to get it and recognize your greatness.
But it doesn’t quite happen that way, and it’s a little confusing. (After all, everyone’s got talent!)
From ‘Learning The Ropes’ to ‘Making Your Mark’
There’s a little shift you have to make and it comes in two stages. The first stage is what I call ease and the second stage is what I call arrival.
When you’ve reached the second stage, you know it’s time to design YOUR show and take things to the next level.

Just like a regular job, you want this whole original music project to accomplish something meaningful to you or when push comes to shove, you won’t do it. It’ll seem pointless (to everyone) and you’ll quit. (Which would suck.)
Instead, once you’ve arrived, once you know you can do it, what you need to recognize is that just like everyone else, what you’re going for at the end of the day is the ultimate experience of connection.
From there your task is to find creative ways to make it happen.
